Jane Good, M.A. Marriage & Family Therapist:


I have been a licensed therapist since June of 1995 and practiced as a licensed intern from 1990 to 1995. My education as a therapist began in 1972 at Cabrillo College, and then U.C. Santa Cruz until 1976. I worked at a wide variety of jobs for about eight years, and then returned to school to finish my B.A at Humboldt State University. I entered the Masters Program in Counseling Psychology in 1986, and received my M.A. in 1989.

I have lived in Humboldt County since 1980. I love the environment and the people. I have worked at Catholic Charities with John Gai as my supervisor, at Humboldt Family Service Center and in private practice, until I was licensed in 1995.

When I was a teen I wanted to be a psychiatrist. Although that didn't work out due to life's little quirks, and despite a lot of curves in the road, I have at last found myself in the work I was always meant to do. Over the years I have worked with a broad variety of amazing, resourceful and courageous people, and I hope to continue work in this field for many more years. I specialize in anxiety disorders, relationship issues, and trauma recovery.
